Job description

We are looking for a full-time experienced Translator/Linguist to work on various projects, which are translation and localization of technical documentation, marketing material, and user texts in the fields of IT, consumer electronics, telecommunications, medical, automotive, engineering, and mechanization, and user interface for mobile and web. The translator/linguist shall convey the meaning from the source language into the target language in order to produce a text that is in accordance with the rules of the linguistic system of the target language and meets the instructions received in the project assignment. His/her task also includes correction after receiving the editor’s comments and the client’s feedback/updates.

RESPONSIBILITY

– Translate documents, websites, software, manuals … from English to Tagalog and vice versa.

– Editing, reviewing, and proofreading, which must follow the linguistic system and ensure high accuracy.

– Solve arising issues of projects.

– Other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Requirements:

– Native Filipino Speaker

– Degree in linguistics, translation, or relevant qualification.

– Fluently in English and Tagalog is a must.

– At least 3-year experience in the linguistic industry.

– Be familiar with CAT tools.

– Be able to do accurate work under high pressure and timeline.

– Be able to work independently and within a team.

– Effectively time management

– Excellent in office computer skills

– Candidate currently living in Vietnam is preferred.
