JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a fulltime experienced Translator/Linguist to work under various projects, which are translation and localization of technical documentation, marketing material and user texts in field of IT, consumer electronics, telecommunications, medical, automotive, engineering and mechanization, and user interface for mobile and web. The Translator/Linguist shall convey the meaning from the source language into the target language in order to produce a text that is in accordance with the rules of the linguistic system of the target language and meet the instruction received in the project assignment. His/her task also includes correction after receiving editor’s comments and client’s feedback/updates.

Translating and editing the meaning of the content, press releases and other varied documents from English into Malaysia and vice versa.
Editing to be done on texts are written in English and Thailand.
Correcting per editor’s comments and client’s feedback/updates.
Reporting Root cause analysis (RCA) & preventive actions plan to Editor/Lead linguist/Project Manager.
Adaptability and flexibility as well as the ability to make effective use of all available resources are key to this role.
Other duties are assigned by Project Managers.
Available for working overtime due to project’ requirement.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Living in Thailand and speak Thai fluently (native).
Having BA in literature, translation or equivalent qualifications.
Having one-year experience in translation field is an advantage.
Basics IT is preferred.
Being excellent in English and having office computer skills.
Having strong interpersonal and communication skills, sense of teamwork and responsibilities.
Being creative and able to take initiative in working independently or working with a team.
Being able to do accurate work under pressure and prioritize workload in order to meet the deadline.
Being familiar with the creation and navigation of test plans and test documentation.
Being able to work effectively within tight timelines.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

This is a full-time position. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer performance-based remuneration and compensation options are negotiable & all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
